The Urso family and the wheat of Terra d'Otranto
The Brunitta farm was born in Cocumola, a hamlet of Minervino di Lecce, in the heart of Terra d'Otranto. The Urso family has passed down its passion for the land for generations: our great-grandparents already grew wheat for the family table and, shortly before the First World War, chose Senatore Cappelli wheat after discovering its qualities.
Today we grow that ancient wheat exclusively on our own land, mill it on stone and turn it into bronze-drawn pasta in our own workshop. We also produce extra virgin olive oil from our own cold-pressed olives.
Our mission is to give a future and renewed pride to the traditions of our land, without depending on imported wheat: a limited, artisan, transparent production, from seed to table.
